Auditions Weekend of December 12th

Central School of Ballet has an audition for their Junior Associate Programme on 12/12.

- Three stages to the audition process:

          - Applying

          - Preliminary audition - anyone who applies to the undergraduate courses and meets the age requirement (at least 16 years of age as of September 1st in the year the training commences) will be invited to attend a preliminary audition.

          - Final Audition - successful applications from the preliminary audition. Invitation only. 

- To attend Friday, December 12th preliminary audition, dancers must apply by Friday, November 28th.

          - Applicants will be taken through a ballet and contemporary class, led by members of the Artistic staff.

Joffrey Ballet School has an audition for their Contemporary Ballet Summer Intensives on 12/12.

- Audition will take place at the Heat Convention & Competition.

- Audition for ages 8-25

- There is a $40 audition fee

- Audition styles include contemporary and jazz

- Check-in time: 3:00-4:00pm

- Audition time: 4:00-5:30pm

Adelphi University has an audition for their BFA in Dance and Dance Minor Program on 12/13.

- Audition will consist of the following:

          - 90-minute ballet class

          - 90-minute modern dance class

          - Perform a 2-3 minute solo to the music of your choice

- Audition will also determine whether dancers will receive one of several talent scholarships.

International Ballet School Stockholm has an audition for their Trainee Professional Program and Junior Ballet Company on 12/15.

- Looking for new dancers ages 19+

- The trainee program includes training and support to help bridge the gap from being a student to a professional.

- Registration is open to come and take a live audition at Hornsgatan 8

- Ballet class and repertoire from the Junior Ballet Company will be held as the audition.

- Date- December 15th 10:00-13:30

University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) is accepting video submissions for their BA in Dance until 12/15.

- UC Application Filing Period: October 1 – December 1.

-In order to be considered for admission to the Dance major, you need to do the following:

          - Submit your general UC application.

          - List DANCE as your first choice major to UCLA on the UC application.

          - Complete a UCLA Dance supplemental application.

- The supplemental application for the Dance major is due on December 15 at 11:59pm PST, and includes the following specific departmental requirements:

          - Department Statement

          - Video Audition

          - Self Portrait Multimedia Project

- The supplemental application is submitted through SlideRoom. You can access the NEW UNDERGRADS application for the dance major, at ucla.slideroom.com.

- All supplemental materials must be submitted through SlideRoom; any physical materials submitted to the department will not be considered in the review process.
