Auditions Weekend of February 13th



Finnish National Opera and Ballet is accepting video auditions for Company Dancers for the 26/27 Season until 2/13.

- The Finnish National Ballet will be holding two international auditions to recruit dancers for its main and youth companies.

- The first audition will be held in Helsinki on March 21st at 14:00 and the second one in Amsterdam on March 29th at 12:00 both 2026.

- Applicants are expected to have a strong classical ballet technique and a mastery of contemporary dance.

- The closing time for the online application is February 13th at 12.00 PM (FINNISH TIME). No application by email will be accepted.

- A preselection based on the video material sent by the applicants will be carried out.

- The minimum age of applicants is 18 years by July 31st 2026.

American Contemporary Ballet has an audition for Dancers for the 26/27 Season on 2/14.

- For Company, Apprentice, and Trainee Auditions, in-person auditions are required.

- Saturday, February 14, 2026, New York City at School of American Ballet

          - Registration 10am, Audition 11am, $25 fee

          - Same-day registration will be available one hour before the audition start time

- Dancers will need to bring resume and headshot to the audition

Water Street Dance Milwaukee has an audition for Company, Apprentice and Trainee Dancers for the 2026 Season on 2/14.

- For the Spring Season, Water Street is searching for experienced dancers interested in an engaging and collaborative artistic process. 

- The ideal candidate should display strong classical training, have experience in contemporary dance, partnering, and interest in choreographing.

- Two Company Artist’s positions are available:

          - Contract length: 5 - 7 months (Flexible start date)

          - Hourly pay for rehearsals + performance fee

          - The contract includes performance opportunities, teaching opportunities, and choreographic opportunities.

Washington Ballet has an audition for Company and Studio Company Dancers for the 2026-2027 Season on 2/15.

Novus Contemporary Ballet has an audition for Company and Apprentice Dancers on 2/15.

          - Company Artists (paid, project-to-seasonal contracts)

          - Apprentices / Trainees (tuition-based or scholarship/assistantship options)

          - Guest Artists for specific projects

          - Teaching/Outreach–interested dancers for our education work

          - Strong classical foundation (pointe work required for women/femme-presenting dancers; men/masc dancers should have strong partnering skills)

          - Contemporary versatility (willingness to work in and out of the floor, complex musicality, weight sharing, and task-based/improvisational scores)

          - Performance presence

          - Rehearsal professionalism

          - Alignment with our values: community-engaged dance, devised work, and reimagining ballet as a living practice, not a fixed tradition

- In-Person Audition February 15, 2026 at 11:30 AM at Santa Barbara Dance Arts

          - The audition will consist of a classical ballet class (1.5 hours) and learning Novus repertory (1 hour)

          - Callbacks will occur via invitation to visit our studios and attend a company class.
