Auditions Weekend of January 16th

 

Center of Creative Arts (COCA) is holding the Regional Summer Intensive Auditions (RSIA) beginning on 1/16.

- The Regional Summer Intensive Auditions (RSIA) are a collaborative audition opportunity, bringing together a variety of dance schools and programs at one time for dancers (Ages 10–25) to audition for summer intensive programs as well as trainee positions. 

- The auditions will be January 16–18, 2026 at COCA – Center of Creative Arts in St. Louis, MO.

- COCA will host auditions onsite for students led by accomplished teaching artists and accompanists. 

- All participating schools and programs will receive recorded videos of the auditions, student audition forms, photos, and resumes electronically at the conclusion of the weekend. 

- Schools and programs will adjudicate and contact students in alignment with their own audition practice.  

- All applicants must participate in the ballet, pointe (if applicable), and modern portions of the audition.  

- Participation Fee | $116

- Audition materials must be submitted by Sunday, January 4, 2026.

Ballet Fantastique has an audition for Company Dancers for the 26/27 Season on 1/16.

- Ballet Fantastique is seeking 2–4 female dancers and 2–4 male dancers for our upcoming season. 

- Offer a competitive 30–35 week contract, compensation commensurate with experience, live music collaborations, touring opportunities, and benefits.

- Date: Fri, Jan 16, 2026 | Time: 10:00 AM – 2:30 PM

- $20 Master Class Audition Fee in advance; $30 Day Of 

- Male dancer applicants — hiring: Preferably 5’9” or taller

- Female dancer applicants — hiring: Preferably 5'2"-5'7" // strong pointe work

- Additional skills of interest (desired but not requisite): Choreography, arts education, arts administration, dance instruction (ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz)

- After completing the Pre-Registration Fee, email company(at)balletfantastique(dot)org with:

          - EMAIL SUBJECT LINE: Audition [Name]

          - Completed Ballet Fantastique Audition Form

          - Cover letter (What are your goals? Why do you want to dance with us? Where are you in your dance career?) OR online link to a brief personal video (feel free to talk to us instead)

          - Résumé/CV with minimum of three references, including contact information

          - Online link to your video demo reel, classwork (barre/center; women should also include pointe).

          - Video reel should also include 2 variations (classical + contemporary). Choreographic samples are welcome if available.

          - Please be sure to provide any required password to view your video

          - Headshot + one or more full body dance photo(s)

Boston Dance Theater has an audition for Company Members and Trainees for the 26/27 Season on 1/16.

- BDT supports artists through a full time contract including regional, national, and international touring opportunities. 

- Core member positions are salaried (informed by the MIT Living Wage Calculator for Boston Metropolitan Area) and come with health, vision, and dental benefit package options. 

- All dancers rehearse Monday-Friday for 25+ hours per week. 

- Black, Asian, Pacific Islanders, Indigenous American, and Latinx artists are highly encouraged to register.

National Summer Intensive Audition Tour (NSIA) has an audition on 1/17.

- The National Summer Intensive Audition Tour (NSIA) is a collective of professional ballet schools created to give young dancers the opportunity to audition for multiple nationally recognized summer programs through a single audition class. 

- Each participating school in the collective hosts in-person auditions at their facilities. 

- Dancers attending a National Summer Intensive Audition are considered for acceptance by all schools in the collective.

- Registration Requirements: Dancers must pre-register and pay the audition fee directly to the host school. 

- A secondary registration form must also be completed to be considered by observing schools.

- Audition schedule:

          - Ages 11-14: 1:30pm-3:30pm

          - Ages 15-16: 3:30pm-5:30pm

          - Ages 17+: 5:30pm-7:30pm

Nashville Ballet has an audition for their 2026 Summer Intensive, Junior Intensive and Company Immersion Intensive on 1/18.

- What to expect from the audition:

          - All auditions are conducted as master classes without early cuts.

          - All results are emailed within two weeks of your audition.

          - If you do not receive your results at that time, please email [email protected].

          - You will have an additional two weeks to accept your invitation. After that time, you will be placed on a waitlist.

- What is needed for registration:

          - Nonrefundable Application Fee: $45 for Pre-Registration, $50 for Walk-Ins, and $55 for Video. All payments are electronic and cash will not be accepted.

          - Resume for Dancers Aged 15+

          - Headshot and Photo in First Arabesque

- Registration ends on the Wednesday prior to each audition or when the audition is full.
