Auditions Weekend of May 8th

American Dance Festival has an audition for Dancers for Marthaodyssey Performance (Spring 2026) on 5/8.

- Seeking dancers (ages 16+) with physical presence, bold theatricality, and a sense of fun.

          - Knowledge of Graham technique is helpful but not required. 

- Dancers should be available for all rehearsals May 9 from 2–5 pm, June 13–16, and performance on Wednesday, June 17 at 7:30.

- Rehearsal times in June will be shared as soon as possible, but participants must hold the days listed for rehearsals. 

- ADF will provide an honorarium of $100, and one ticket to attend the dance party following the performance.

- Auditions will be held May 8 from 6–9 pm at ADF’s Samuel H. Scripps Dance Studios.

Michigan Ballet Academy has an audition for their 2026 Pre-Professional Summer Intensive on 5/9.

Ballet San Antonio is accepting audition submissions for their 2026 Summer Intensive until 5/10.

- Summer intensive details:

          - Ages: 13-18+

          - Dates: June 7-June 28, 2026

          - Classes: Technique, Pointe, Men’s Class, Partnering, Character, Modern & Contemporary, Variations, Ballet History, Pantomime, and more

- Dancers are required to submit video submission that is not to exceed 5 minutes

          - Performed on pointe, if applicable

Backhaus Dance is accepting audition submissions for their 2026 Summer Intensive until 5/10.

- Video Submission Fee: $35

- Footage should be between 3 and 5 minutes in length and include the following:

          - Brief Self-Introduction: Name, Brief Description of Previous Training, Why you’d like to participate, and how a scholarship would help you

          - Technique Samples: Barre or Center Work (Plies, Tendus, Extensions, Across the Floor Progressions of Turns and/or Jumps, etc)

          - Phrasework Sample(s): Variations, Improvisations and/or Choreography

- Video submissions will be accepted beginning November 7, 2025 through May 10th, 2026.

Brussels City Ballet has an audition for Company Dancers for their 26/27 Season on 5/12.
