Milwaukee Ballet's 2025 Summer Intensive Programs

Looking for an unforgettable summer of dance and exploration? This summer, Milwaukee Ballet invites passionate ballet students from around the world to refine their craft, challenge their abilities, and create lifelong memories in the vibrant city of Milwaukee. With two exceptional programs to choose from, dancers of varying levels can grow as artists while enjoying the opportunity to experience a dynamic city.

5-Week Pre-Professional Program

Dates: June 21 - July 25, 2025
Ages: 11-22

This program is perfect for dedicated dancers who have achieved an intermediate to advanced level of ballet technique. Designed to immerse participants in a rigorous and comprehensive training environment, the Pre-Professional Program focuses on refining skills while exploring new styles and developing performance artistry. Ladies must have at least one full year of intensive pointe training. Boys must be at an equivalent level of training. 

Program Highlights:
- Training at Milwaukee Ballet's Baumgartner Center for Dance, located in the heart of downtown Milwaukee (128 N. Jackson St.).
- Daily classes in Ballet, Pointe, Men’s Work, and Variations.
- Pas de Deux classes offered throughout the program.
- Explore dynamic styles like Flamenco, Modern, African, Musical Theater, and Hip Hop.
- Prepare for Emergence, a showcase performance featuring original choreography by faculty and guest artists.
- Unique opportunities for high school students:

• Audition for the prestigious Rolando Yanes’ Pre-Professional Program, a year-round training experience.
• Graduates placed in Tech 8 may audition for Milwaukee Ballet II, a gateway to the professional Milwaukee Ballet Company, where over 60% of company dancers began their careers.
  - Students from over 20 states and five countries create a diverse and inspiring community.

3-Week Intermediate Program

Dates: July 5 - July 25, 2025
Ages: 11-14

For younger dancers ready to take their skills to the next level, this program offers a focused training experience in a supportive yet challenging environment. Designed for intermediate-level students, the Intermediate Program emphasizes the fundamentals of ballet while introducing students to exciting new styles and rehearsal techniques. 

Program Highlights:
- Training takes place at two Milwaukee Ballet studio locations: Riverpoint Village in Fox Point and Towne Centre in Brookfield, WI.
- Daily classes in Ballet, Pointe, Men’s Work, and Variations.
- Dynamic style classes, including Jazz and Modern.
- Afternoon rehearsals for Emergence, where students perform original choreography by faculty and guest teachers.
- Build connections with peers from across the United States and around the world.
