For aspiring dancers eager to advance their ballet training and career opportunities, the National Summer Intensive Audition (NSIA) Tour offers an exceptional platform. The NSIA provides a rare opportunity for young dancers to audition for several renowned summer intensives in one go, opening doors to a variety of ballet auditions, training, and potentially even job offers.
NSIA streamlines the audition process with a unique, efficient approach. Dancers can select from a range of cities on the audition schedule and register with the host school at their preferred location. Auditions are held in-person, with other participating schools observing either remotely via Zoom or on-site. This ensures a thorough evaluation and increases exposure for each dancer.
Each audition will be recorded, allowing the observing schools to review performances at their convenience. Dancers can choose which schools they wish to audition for, but all participating schools have the opportunity to contact any dancer who auditions. Pre-registration and payment of the registration fee to the host school are required.
In the event of cancellations due to circumstances like extreme weather, students who are affected will have the option to submit an audition video. This option is only available to dancers impacted by cancellations and is not open to others.
Dancers should wear colored leotards with a mid- to high-cut back to reflect the formal and elegant nature of ballet auditions.
The NSIA tour will be visiting several cities, providing a wide range of audition opportunities for dancers nationwide.
