Auditions Weekend of November 21st

Virginia Commonwealth University has an audition for their Dance and Choreography BFA on 11/21.

- Dance applicants are required to audition in person or virtually and interview with facility

- Audition will consist of:

          - Warm-up

          - Ballet barre

          - Modern center work 

          - Improvisation

          - Interview with faculty

- Applicants will need to submit a University application and send official transcripts

European School of Ballet is accepting video submissions for their 2025 Winter School until 11/21.

- Amsterdam Winter School 2025 will take place from December 27th 2025 to January 3rd 2026

- For dancers ages 11-23

- Classes run from 10:00am-5:30pm daily (differing times for 12/31 and 1/1)

- Applications for ESB Winter School can be submitted via our ESB Applications website (link above)

- After creating an account, you can fill out the digital application form. Applications have to be sent before November 21st, 2025. The application form includes:

          - Portrait photo: (for administrative purposes only)

          - Video link: 6-minute maximum classwork (no barre)

          - Full body photo: Tendu à la seconde (en face)

          - Full body photo: First arabesque (en profil)

          - Full body photo: Demi plié in first position (en profil)

          - Optional dance photo of your choice

Boston Conservatory at Berklee has an audition for their BFA in Dance: Contemporary Dance Performance on 11/22.

- Applicants will participate a ballet and a modern class

- Following the classes, each student will present a solo that is 90 seconds in length

          - Solo may be a repertory pierce or original choreography

          - Preferable that the solo piece be ballet or modern

- Attire options:

          - Solid-colored leotard and tights

          - Solid-colored T-shirt and tights

          - Solid-colored unitard

- Dancers are not required to dance en pointe, however, they may choose to perform barre and/or center portion of the audition en pointe, if desired.

- To enroll at Boston Conservatory at Berklee, students must be both academically and artistically accepted into the program.

Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company has an audition for their International Dance Journey Program on 11/22.

- Audition will take place from 7:00-10:00pm

- For dancers ages 18+

- Spend a 5-month semester studying dance abroad in Israel

- Curriculum emphasizes contemporary dance and modern dance with daily ballet warm-ups and classes in company repertoire

- Training includes choreography, floorwork, Gaga and improvisation

- Eligible university students may earn course credit

- Admission operates on a rolling basis with a maximum of 38 dancers per semester.

University of Southern Mississippi has an audition for their BFA Dance Programs on 11/21.

- This audition date is part of USM Dance Day (10 a.m. - 4 p.m.). 

          - Those choosing to audition should both register for USM Dance Day and submit the audition application form prior to the audition date. 

          - Note that all auditioning prospective students (not just high school students) are welcome for USM Dance Day.

- Applicants need to apply to the University and submit the audition application form

- Dancers will need to perform a 1-minute solo in a style of choice

- Audition will also include a modern, ballet, jazz class and a short creative task

- Degrees offered:
