Auditions Weekend of October 18th!

Canada’s National Ballet School is holding auditions for their Professional Ballet-Academic Program 10/17-10/20.

• The Professional Ballet-Academic Program offers full-time Olympic-calibre dance training, academic instruction and residence—all on the same campus located in Toronto. Auditions are an exciting opportunity to experience a class with NBS’ world-renowned teachers.
• The audition process takes place in two stages:
• Stage One: Audition in-person or through video. Students who have successfully auditioned will be invited to Stage Two of the process. 
• Stage Two: Students grades 6-8 will attend Summer School. Students grades 9-Company Life Program will join for a 1-week audition experience between January and April at NBS. Students who have successfully auditioned will be invited to join the full-time Professional Ballet Program for the 2024/25 school year.

Belhaven University has an audition for admittance to the Dance Program on 10/18.

University of Utah School of Dance has an audition for admittance to the Dance Program on 10/19.

• Formal acceptance is contingent upon being admitted into the University of Utah and passing the School of Dance audition.
• Audition Schedule:
• Ballet BFA - The center section of class will be taught en pointe. There will be additional allegro enchainment for male identifying students (batterie, tours, traveling steps).
• Modern Dance BFA & Minor - The audition class will incorporate ballet barre, contemporary technique, and improvisation. At the conclusion of the audition class, dancers will be asked to present their solos, showing 1 - 2 minutes of original choreography.
• Video auditions are accepted.

Nederlands Dans Theatre (NDT) is accepting video audition submissions for an invitation to audition for NDT1 for the 2025/2026 season. Video submission deadline is 10/20.

• Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of professional experience. Applicants born between the 13th of January 2002 and the 10th of January 2008 can only apply for NDT2.
• Audition date: Sunday December 8th, 2024 at NDT in The Hague, the Netherlands*

The Washington Ballet is seeking a male identifying dancer to join The Washington Ballet Studio Company for the 2024/2025 season.

• Immediate hire of a male dancer, age 18-23.
• The ideal candidate will have strong classical and contemporary technique and be available to start immediately, although all applications are welcome. 
• In the 2024-25 Season, the Studio Company will be involved in all remaining company shows, including when WE take Flight, Septime Webre’s The Nutcracker, transcenDANCE, Edwaard Liang’s Alice (in Wonderland), and other community performances around the DC area.
