Auditions Weekend of February 21st!

Oregon Ballet Theatre (OBT) is accepting applications for Company positions for the 2025-2026 Season until 2/21.

- Please email your audition materials to [email protected] using the subject line: Your Name - Audition Materials

- Auditions are by invitation only

- If invited to audition, you will receive an email with further information including options for appearing for an audition.

- Applications must include the following materials:

          - A video with no introduction or fancy editing, consisting of the following, performed in leotard and tights for women and tight-fitting dance attire for men. Video should include:

                   - A short classical variation drawn from the standard repertoire

                   - A short contemporary variation (that could consist of something drawn from repertoire, phrases from classwork or an applicant-created work) that illustrates the applicant’s command of a range of movement different from that demonstrated in the classical variation

                   - Performance video is acceptable, as long as the auditioner is clearly notated

                   - Accepted formats for video: YouTube and Vimeo links

                   - Provide passwords for links as necessary

          - CV

          - Headshot

          - 2-3 dance photos that reveal the dancer’s body proportions and line

          - Accepted formats: jpg, .pdf files

          - Please include your birthdate and height

Kennesaw State University (KSU) has an audition for admittance into the Dance Department on 2/21.

- If you are not currently a student at Kennesaw State University, you must begin your application for university admission before you can apply to the Department of Dance.

- It is not essential that you be fully admitted to the University at the time of the audition, however, you will need your KSU UD number and Net ID generated by the university admission application to complete the dance audition registration.

- The audition process will consist of a 45-minute ballet barre, followed by a modern combination.

- Students will be notified about acceptance into the program within a week following the audition. 

- In-person auditions are directly followed by an info session and Q&A with our faculty and staff. 

- Offers concentrations in Ballet or Modern Dance.

Ballet Idaho has an audition for Company positions for the 2025-2026 Season on 2/22.

- Applicants interested in auditioning for the 25/26 season may audition at one of several open call auditions. All interested applicants should send their resume and video reel prior to the open audition to [email protected] in the format below, which follows the International Audition Pre-Screening Guidelines.

- Height Requirements

          - Female Identifying Dancers: minimum height is 5 feet, 2 inches; maximum height is 5 feet, 8 inches

          - Male Identifying Dancers: minimum height is 5 feet, 7 inches; maximum height is 6 feet, 4 inches

- February 22, 2025 - 2:00 Registration; 2:30- 5:30 Audition; $30 Fee

Indianapolis Ballet has an audition for their 2025 Summer Intensive on 2/22.

- Admission for the Summer Intensive is by audition only

- Students must be 10 years of age by June 1, 2025.

- Ages 10-13 years:

          - Registration: 2:00-2:30pm

          - Audition: 2:30-4:00pm

- Ages 14+ years:

          - Registration: 1:30-2:00pm

          - Audition: 2:00-3:30pm 

- An audition fee of $30 is due at the time of the audition by cash or check or during pre-registration through Studio Director.

- Please bring TWO photos - a headshot (may be a school photo) and a full length dance photo in first arabesque.

- Ladies must bring pointe shoes.

Sarasota Ballet has an audition seeking Soloist and Principal Dancers for the 2025-2026 Season on 2/22.

- Auditions are by invitation only.

- Applicants are required to submit the following materials only:

          - Two classical variations drawn by standard repertoire, danced in pointe shoes by female applicants

          - Short contemporary variation that illustrates a range of movements different from that demonstrated in classical variations.

          - 2-3 minutes of barre work, incorporating both sides, danced in soft shoes by male applicants and pointe shoes by female applicants

          - 4-6 minutes of center work that includes adagio, pirouettes, petit and grand allegro (danced in pointe shoes by female applicants)

          - CV (including height)

          - Head shot

          - 2-3 dance photos that reveal dancer’s body proportions and line
