Auditions Weekend of July 11th



Peridance Contemporary Dance Company is accepting video audition submissions for Company and Trainee Dancers for the 2025/2026 Season until 7/11.

- Contracts are available for dancers of all identities with strong technical and artistic abilities.

- Dancers are requested to have strong contemporary dance technique and improvisational skills, along with versatility, musicality, and stage presence. Experience with contemporary partnering is also a plus. 

- Dancers must be based in NYC at the start of employment.

- Required online application will close at 5pm on Friday, July 11th and selected dancers will be invited to audition in-person on Sunday, July 27th at Peridance Center.

- Dancers will be assigned an hour slot (9:30-10:30am, 10:45-11:45am, 12-1pm), then the first round of callbacks will take place from 2-5pm later that same day. 

- You will be notified about this potential in-person audition by no later than Friday, July 18th. 

- There will be a final callback from 11:30am-2:30pm on Monday, July 28th for selected dancers.

Ballet Audition Platform UK is accepting video submissions for their master audition until 7/12.

- New opportunity for UK-based ballet dancers to audition for contracts with UK-based companies.

- There are two categories as follows:

          - 17-20 for advanced students and recent graduates

          - 20+ for graduates and young professionals

- The panel will include directors of companies, mostly based in the UK that can offer short to medium term freelance contracts, companies on the panel for the 2025 will include:

          - Birmingham Royal Ballet tbc

          - Cork City Ballet

          - Brecon Festival Ballet

          - Yorke Dance Project

          - Let’s all Dance

          - Bristol Russian Ballet Youth Company (Guest Principal Contracts)

- Successful applicants will be notified the week commencing July 22nd (tbc)



Alen Bottaini Academy has an audition for their Junior, Intermediate, Senior and Pre-Professional Programs on 7/12.

- General auditions are open to dancers aged 10 and above, including those interested in the Post-Graduate Program for students aged 18 and over

- Selected students will be invited to join the Professional Program for the 2025-2026 season, which offers:

          - Comprehensive daily training in ballet, contemporary and character dance

          - Personalized coaching and mentorship

          - Performance opportunities

Ellison Ballet has an audition for their Professional Training Program on 7/13.

- Applicants should have a strong basic classical foundation in relation to their level and age.

- Age Requirements:

          - Preparatory Level [After School]:  Ages 10-13 (Exceptional 9-year-olds may be considered.)

          - Junior/Senior/Trainee Levels [Full-Day Program]: Ages 13-21

          - Dancers should audition with the age group that they fall into on the date of the audition.

- Audition Process:

          - Register online for your audition.

          - There are two ways to audition; both are given equal consideration:

                    - In-person audition - held in NYC each July

                    - Video audition

          - Audition Registration Fee (Non-Refundable): $45

          - Students must upload one recent photo with their audition registration: 

                    - Photos should show the dancer in first arabesque.

          - While pre-registration online is strongly preferred, walk-in registration is available.​​

- Audition Dress Code:

          - Girls -- solid color leotard, full-length pink or skin-tone tights, ballet slippers, pointe shoes

                    - Pointe shoes are not required for students auditioning for the Preparatory Level, though young ladies should bring their pointe shoes if they have begun pointework.

          - Boys -- white t-shirts, full-length black tights, ballet slippers

- Acceptance & Enrollment Process:

          - Upon completing an audition, participating students will receive a letter indicating acceptance, wait-list, or non-acceptance within two weeks. ​

          - Accepted students will receive an invitation letter along with enrollment forms detailing the fees, deadlines, etc.

Visions Contemporary Ballet is accepting video submissions for Male and Female Dancers for the 2025 Season on a rolling basis.

- VISIONS Contemporary Ballet is seeking professional male and female dancers with strong Modern and Ballet technique and partnering skills to join the company for our 2025 Season.

- Applicants must have US citizenship or be a Permanent Resident (Green Card).

- Email should include:

           - Subject line: Audition Submission for VISIONS Contemporary Ballet

          - Video link (Please send a link and not a download)

                    - Please send as a YouTube or Vimeo or other streaming service.

                    - Once you have sent in your audition submission and your materials have been reviewed you will receive a confirmation. 

- If there is a potential spot for you at VCB you will receive an audition date, time, location and contact.
