- Artistic Director Michael Novak is seeking two dynamic & virtuosic dancers to join the Taylor Company to perform traditionally male roles.
- Taylor dancers perform iconic works by Paul Taylor and create with some of the most sought after choreographers of today.
- Ideal candidates are highly skilled in modern and contemporary styles and partnering.
- Strong familiarity with Taylor style and repertory preferred.
- Hired dancers will receive $1,005/week with approximately 40-44 work weeks per year.
- Dancers are supported with year-round fully paid health and dental insurance, and a partial 401(k) match.

- Pre-Professional Program:
- For students ages 7 and up.
- Students attend classes in the evening during the week and/or Saturday mornings
- Housing is not available to students in the Pre-Professional Program
- Professional Program:
- For students ages 14 and up.
- Students attend classes Monday-Friday from approximately 9am-4pm with occasional weekends for rehearsals and performances
- Housing is available by invitation only
- Adjudicating faculty evaluates students for either program on a variety of elements, including facility, coordination, technique and artistry.

- Minimum of 3 years experience; dancers ages 14-18 will present pointe work during the audition class.
- Ages 7-11: 10:30am-11:30am
- Ages 12-18: 12:00pm-1:30pm
- $50 audition fee is required

- Audition Process:
- Acceptance to Ballet Melange is by audition only
- Contract company positions are available for male and female dancers
- Season will consist of two major productions with additional smaller performances
- Candidates must be 16 years or older and should have strong classical and contemporary technique

- Approximately 28-30 week paid contract starting approximately 08/25 and concluding in early May.
- Will produce three full-length ballets and one mixed bull of “Classics, Romantics, and Contemporary Works”

- Video audition guidelines:
- No introduction consisting of the following performed in a leotard and tights for women and tight fitting dance attire for men.
- Two classical variations drawn from the standard repertoire, danced en pointe by female applicants
- A short contemporary variation that illustrates the applicant's command of the range of movement different from that demonstrated in the classical variation.
- 3-5 minutes of barre work, danced in soft shoes by male applicants and pointe shoes by female applicants

- Contract offerings are based on experience and include Trainee positions that work with the company and school
- Minimum Age: 16 years old for Trainee/Apprentice consideration and 18 years old for Company consideration.
- Strong ballet technique required. Women: pointe required. Ability to move in a variety of contemporary styles is beneficial.
