Auditions Weekend of November 15th!
Sam Houston State University has an audition for admittance to the MFA Dance Program on 11/15.

- The application process for the MFA program is two-fold. Candidates must audition for acceptance into the Department of Dance MFA program by attending an on-site audition or long distance audition process and apply for acceptance to the University through the Office of Graduate Admission.
- In addition, applicants must also attend an onsite audition that will include:
- Submission of a Writing Sample (inspired by a prompt provided at the audition)
- Interview with Dance Faculty
- Technique Audition in Ballet and Modern Dance
- Presentation of a solo performance of a choreographic work composed by the applicant
New York University (NYU) has an audition for admittance to the Dance Department on 11/16.

- A student matriculating in the Tisch School of the Arts must be admitted at two levels: as a student within a department of specialization or major, and as a student of New York University.
- An undergraduate candidate must first apply via Common Application. After the application is submitted, NYU Undergraduate Admissions will send an email with instructions for auditioning for the Department of Dance.

Victoria Academy of Ballet has an audition for the 2025 Professional Dance Intensive and Professional Training Program on 11/16.

- Students must be the required age by July 1st, 2024 to qualify for our auditions.
- Online registration closes on Friday, November 15. Walk-ins are welcome. Please bring $35 cash (exact change).
- You are required to upload the following images: headshot, tendu a la seconde, first arabesque.
- This class will be an intermediate to advanced level ballet class with barre and centre work (no pointe work).
- Following the submission of your audition registration and closer to your audition date, you will receive an Information Package with further details.
- No street shoes inside of the studio, no use of rosin or other sticky/gummy substance permitted in the studio.

European School of Ballet is accepting applications for the 2024 Winter Intensive until 11/17.

- After creating an account, you can fill out the digital application form. Applications have to be sent before November 17th, 2024. The application form includes:

- Video link: 6-minute maximum classwork (no barre)
- Full body photo: Tendu à la seconde (en face)
- Full body photo: First arabesque (en profil)
- Full body photo: Demi plié in first position (en profil)

Opera Grand Avignon Ballet has an audition for a female dancer for the 2025 Season on 11/18.

- The video should be no longer than 4 minutes and should include:
- 2 minutes showreel video (showing the pieces danced by the candidate)

- 10:00-11:30 AM: Classical class with the Ballet Mistress
- 11:45 AM-2:00 PM: Repertoire
- 3:00-5:00 PM: Repertoire + Improvisation
- 5:00-6:00 PM: Interview
- At the end of the audition, the jury will notify the candidates selected for the final interview that will take place the same day at the end of the audition.
