Bio

Callay, whose name conveniently rhymes with "Ballet," is in the pre-professional program at Boise Ballet Academy under the direction of Mads Ericksen and Sarah Stein. Callay's favorite roles include Clara in the 2023 performances of The Nutcracker and Bournonville's, Le Ventana. Callay currently attends an audition based fine arts school where she dances under the stewardship of Rachel Swenson EdD. In the summer of 2024, Callay attended 4 intensives; Oklahoma City Ballet (OKCB) - Rachael and Ryan Nye, Nashville Contemporary - Maria Konrad and Anais Chalendard, Boise Ballet Academy - Mads Ericksen, Sarah Stein, and Hailey Hipwell, Brigham Young University Ballet Intensive - Shayla Bott. Callay will be competing at YAGP in 2025 with La Bayadere and Lilac Fairy variations as well as a contemporary solo choreographed by Hanna Bicstron. In addition to classical ballet, Callay has a strong contemporary background and also excels in tap, jazz, acro, lyrical, character, ballroom, and hiphop.
