The Pre-Professional Division of the American Ballet Theatre William J. Gillespie School is dedicated to training students serious about advancing into a career on stage or attending a prestigious dance college/university. All classes feature live piano accompaniment by industry professionals, and are led by a talented team of faculty, all certified in the ABT National Training Curriculum. Serious ballet students ages 12+ must audition for Levels 4 and above. In the Pre-Professional Division, dancers are exposed to various dance styles including Character and Modern and have additional Partnering and Variations classes included in their weekly schedule. Master classes by world renowned Guest Artists are offered throughout the year. Priority auditions with touring companies and additional performance opportunities are provided to the Pre-Professional Division students.
