The program at our academy offers a diverse range of classes, including a daily ballet technique class, pre-pointe/pointe, stretch/conditioning, and more, to ensure a comprehensive training experience. Students who are part of the Performance Track and attending the full program will have the unique opportunity to participate in an in-studio performance, which is scheduled for Friday, July 26th at 6:00pm. On the other hand, Non-Performance Track students will engage in all the technique classes but will not be involved in the performance rehearsal at the end of each day. Our classes are expertly led by Directors Jose Chavez and Dana Nelson, along with ABA staff members Alyssa Chavez, Veronika Part, Lisa Loree, Joan Ross-Gair, and various special guest instructors, ensuring a high standard of teaching and personalized attention for each dancer. The focus of these classes is not only on proper placement and form but also on injury prevention. We emphasize clean, un-stylized technique to cultivate versatility in our dancers, enabling them to adapt to any style or company they wish to work with in the future. Additionally, the program includes targeted strengthening and core/cardio conditioning specifically designed for dancers, complemented by stretch classes and thera-band work to maintain strength and flexibility. Our aim is to provide professional quality training in classical ballet technique, preparing dancers for a professional ballet career, college dance programs, or to assist in their journey in contemporary dance. The training environment is enhanced by our well-equipped studios, which feature professionally sprung floors and are outfitted with air-conditioning and heating systems for optimal comfort.
