Alabama State University Cultivating Dance Artistry & Technique (CDAT) Dates: July 5–11, 2026 Location: Tullibody Fine Arts Complex Ages: 12–21 Deadline to Apply: May 1, 2026, by 5:00 PM Price: $495 (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner & Housing Included) (Mandatory For All Freshman BFA Dance Major and Minor Students) About the Program The ASU BFA Summer Dance Intensive, Cultivating Dance Artistry & Technique (CDAT), is a one-week, pre-professional program for aspiring dancers ages 12-21. This immersive dance experience will provide in-depth training in classical ballet, pointe, modern dance, jazz, African dance, and more, helping students enhance their technical skills, artistry, and confidence. Program Highlights Dates: July 5-11, 2025 Location: Tullibody Fine Arts Complex, Alabama State University Ages: 12-21 (Special classes for ages 12-14) Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM / 7:00 PM Price: $495 (Includes Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, and housing) Mandatory for Freshman BFA Dance Majors & Minors Scholarships Available: $75 discount via IABD and Alabama Dance Festival Curriculum & Schedule Students will receive a structured and intensive schedule designed to enhance their skills and prepare them for professional-level training. Morning Sessions: Ballet, Modern, African Dance Stretch & Conditioning Dance History Afternoon Sessions: Repertoire, Jazz, Hip-Hop Performance Preparation End of Program Showcase: The program will culminate in a fully-produced performance open to the public, showcasing the skills and artistry developed during the intensive.
