Description
The Summer Intensive is a great option for dance students to explore a short-term commitment to intensive professional ballet training. It's also an opportunity to be considered for placement in our full-year Professional Division Program The 2024 Summer Intensive takes place twice, June 24th- July 12, and again July 15th through August 2nd in Calgary, Alberta. This 3-week program includes Ballet, Pointe Work, Pas de Deux (for select levels), Repertoire, Variations, Contemporary, Character Dance and Body Conditioning.

Alberta Ballet School attracts students from around the world to this 3-week program, that advances ballet technique and artistry through: An internationally-recognized ballet curriculum Mentorship and instruction from experienced faculty, guest teachers and Alberta Ballet's professional dancers An active commitment to healthy balanced training in partnership with the University of Calgary's Dance Science faculty (member of the International Association of Dance Medicine) We also offer a Summer Residence program for visiting students. Residence life during Summer Intensive is designed to create a fun, memorable experience, forging strong social connections in a peer group that shares a passion for dance and ballet.
