A two-week summer intensive specifically designed for young dancers looking to take the next step in their development by exploring classicism for the contemporary world. Academic Grade 6-10 ISDI2 offers a rare and unique opportunity for young dancers to immerse themselves in a two-week summer intensive that prepares dancers to excel along the path of ballet education. Designed to foster both technical proficiency and performance excellence, the program bridges classical principles with contemporary thought. Through the study of technique, repertoire, and classical variations, participants will explore anatomical, kinesiological, and theatrical concepts. The focus of the curriculum will allow dancers to develop nuance, range, and virtuosity in their work. Grounded in the methodology developed by Arts Umbrella, ISDI2 elevates each dancer’s pursuit of excellence within the evolving landscape of ballet education. Admission to this program is by audition only.
