Austin Dance Festival is an annual dance festival produced in the heart of Texas and is inspired by the makers of modern dance, post-modern dance, contemporary dance, experimental dance, and improvisational dance. Our mission is to present a collection of outstanding and diverse dance works from across the country in a professional venue with high quality production. The festival events also include professional development, networking, and educational experiences for artists who are eager to explore and expand their practice. We take pride in bringing dance professionals together with our local community, filling the days with joy, curiosity, and movement. The festival’s curated events include professional dance showcases by artists from across the country and an international dance on film screening. Other festival activities include an exciting line-up of master classes for recreational and professional dancers taught by the festival’s guest artists, an artist welcome reception, and artist interviews. Our administrative team specializes in outstanding organization and communication, making the logistical aspects of attending the festival fun and accessible for artists and patrons. Previous iterations of the festival have also included a Youth Edition, comprised of youth showcases, a college fair, a pro chat, and youth master classes taught by our festival's guest artists.
