Avant Chamber Location Nutcracker student cast auditions are one week away! Avant Chamber Ballet is looking for young dancers to perform in the professional production of The Nutcracker at Moody Performance Hall on December 5-7 2025. There are two audition locations on September 14. Dancers must register online before audition. Avant Chamber Ballet Studio: 12-12:45PM AGES 5-8; 1-1:45PM AGES 9-11; 2-2:45PM AGES 12 AND UP Artistry in Motion Performing Arts Center: 4-4:45PM AGES 5-8; 5-5:45PM AGES 9-11; 6-6:45PM AGES 12 AND UP There are two rehearsal sites with two student casts which will have 2 performances each Avant Chamber Ballet cast with performances Dec 5 7pm and Dec 7 2pm Artistry in Motion Performing Arts Center - Dec 6 2pm and 7pm All ages and genders are invited. Roles include Clara, Fritz, Party Guests, Mice, Soldiers, Angels, Polichinelles. Audition fee is $15. Production participation fee: $100. Rehearsals will be held on Sundays between 12-5 at Avant Chamber Ballet and AIMPAC Studios. Excused absences from rehearsals are allowed but must be approved by ACB Staff. All stage rehearsals and performances are mandatory. Rehearsals Dates: Oct 5, Oct 12, Oct 19, Oct 26, Nov 2, Nov 9, Nov 16, Nov 23 Dec 2 and 3 - evening rehearsals on stage Dec 4 - evening dress rehearsal on stage Dec 5 - 7pm performance Dec 6 - 2pm, 7pm performance Dec 7 - 3pm performance The youngest dancers aged 5-7 years old have fewer rehearsals starting Oct 19. Dancer’s rehearsals will be between 12-5pm but only for 1-2 hours depending on casting. Polichinelles and Candy Cane dancers will have the option to perform at two additional “Nutcracker: Short & Suite” performances with ACB on Nov 30 and Dec 7.
