Avant Chamber Ballet is looking for young dancers to perform in the professional production of The Nutcracker at Moody Performance Hall on December 6-8 2024. There are two audition locations on September 8th - Avant Chamber Ballet Studio: 12-12:45PM AGES 5-8; 1-1:45PM AGES 9-11; 2-2:45PM AGES 12 AND UP Artistry in Motion Performing Arts Center: 4-4:45PM AGES 5-8; 5-5:45PM AGES 9-11; 6-6:45PM AGES 12 AND UP There are also two rehearsal sites with two student casts which will have 2 performances each. Avant Chamber Ballet cast with performances Dec 6 7pm and Dec 8 2pm Artistry in Motion Performing Arts Center - Dec 7 2pm and 7pm All ages and genders are invited. Roles include Clara, Fritz, Party Guests, Mice, Soldiers, Angels, Polichinelles. Audition fee is $15. Production participation fee: $100. Free for students of ACB. Rehearsals will be held on Sundays between 12-5 at Avant Chamber Ballet and AIMPAC Studios. Excused absences from rehearsals are allowed but must be approved by directors. All stage rehearsals and performances are mandatory. Rehearsals Dates: Sept 29, Oct 6, Oct 13, Oct 20, Oct 27, Nov 3, Nov 10, Nov 17, Nov 24 Dec 3 and 4 - evening rehearsals on stage Dec 5 - evening dress rehearsal on stage Dec 6 - 7pm performance Dec 7 - 2pm, 7pm performance Dec 8 - 2pm performance The youngest dancers aged 5-7 years old have fewer Sunday rehearsals starting on Oct 13 or 20th depending on casting. The Sunday schedule is dependent on casting. Dancer’s rehearsals will be between 12-5pm but only for 1-2 hours.
