Description
Ballet 5:8's Summer Intensive has something to offer for dancers from the intermediate through professional levels. At Ballet 5:8, you will be able to make technical gains, increase your artistry and explore the intersection of art and faith - all in an environment where students thrive. Ballet 5:8 Summer Intensive is a program carefully designed to help dancers of pre-professional, professional and collegiate take the next step in their training and careers. Classes take place inside Ballet 5:8's beautiful 12,000 square foot building with five studios in Orland Park, IL, 35 minutes from downtown Chicago. Thanks to our small class sizes, each dancer receives individual corrections and feedback. Technique taught during Intensive is informed by our signature syllabus which stresses proper placement, strength and musicality while incorporating the stylistic elements required in today's competitive professional dance field. An intensive and varied class and rehearsal schedule is offered for every level; 4-5 classes per day, plus educational seminars on a variety of dance-related topics.

Introducing Ballet 5:8’s Pas de Deux Intensive! This program will equip you by fine-tuning your partnering knowledge, as well as working on more complicated techniques and lifts. You’ll feel more confident when partnering in classes, rehearsals and on stage. The intensive will include strength training for both men and women, as well as an in-depth study of both classical and contemporary pas de deux which are iconic parts of the ballet repertoire.
