Ballet Bloom

Ballet Bloom Project was founded in 2019 in southern Maine by Rose Hutchins, MFA in Dance, with the vision of bringing high-quality contemporary ballet to the region while advancing the growth and relevance of the art form. The company values creating performances that are accessible and meaningful to audiences of diverse backgrounds, collaborating with other artists and organizations, engaging the community, and supporting dance artists through fair compensation and nurturing environments. Since its founding, Ballet Bloom Project has presented and collaborated on a variety of performance and education programs, including free public performances, fundraiser events, and formal concerts in traditional venues. The company also offers masterclasses and professional development opportunities for dancers and hosted an academic research study on contemporary ballet in 2020.
