Theater Chemnitz is a five-division institution comprising music theater, drama, philharmonic orchestra, ballet, and puppet theater. With approximately 430 employees and around 1,000 events per year, it ranks among the region's leading cultural institutions. The opera division presents around 300 performances—ranging from grand-scale productions to chamber works—at the Opera House, covering a broad repertoire of music theater and dance. For further information: www.theater-chemnitz.de For the new production of *Tannhäuser* by Richard Wagner in the 2026/27 season, Oper Chemnitz is seeking eight professional dancers with outstanding technical skills (including contemporary and jazz) and a strong stage presence, who are also comfortable performing in revealing costumes. Rehearsals begin: Mid-March 2027 Premiere: April 2027, followed by 6 additional performances through July 2027 The audition will take place on Saturday, May 9, 2026, in Chemnitz.
