Audition Description
Breath is a new contemporary dance duet exploring human connection, conflict, and the fragility of
interdependence. Two performers share a single lifeline—a tube linking their gas masks—forming a
physical and symbolic bond that governs everything they do. Within a stark post-war environment, the
dancers navigate intimacy, resistance, and rupture, using the connecting tube as a third partner that
shapes weight-sharing, tension, and risk.
The work interrogates what keeps people together, what pulls them apart, and how bonds forged under
pressure can become both life-giving and suffocating. Breath is visually striking, emotionally driven, and
rooted in pure physical storytelling.
