Black Grace is a contemporary dance company from New Zealand, founded by Artistic Director Neil Ieremia in 1995, known for its highly physical, athletic, and innovative blend of traditional Samoan and Maori dance with Western modern styles. Drawing from his Samoan and New Zealand heritage, Ieremia creates powerful, theatrical works that tell rich South Pacific stories, earning the company international acclaim and making it New Zealand's leading contemporary dance ensemble.
