BDT's Immersion Projects are designed as a rigorous training experiences for motivated dancers, ages 18 and older, within a professional contemporary dance company environment. Participants will study, rehearse, create, and perform with co-artistic director Jessie Jeanne Stinnett and members of the company. All students will take daily class taught by current company members. All Boston Dance Theater Immersion Projects can also be used as an audition for BDT's Trainee Program, Apprentice, or Core Member positions. The Winter Immersion Project (WIP) normally takes place during the first week of January. WIP is a choreography-based workshop for dancers to learn, create, and experiment with new movement material through the exploration of composition and choreographic tools that come from a variety of practices.
