Each year Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre invites young dancers to audition for SunDance, our annual summer intensive, and the upcoming Company season beginning in September. CCDT dancers come from a variety of training, cultural, and economic backgrounds but all share a passion for the expressive power and range of modern and contemporary dance choreography that is created by leading dance artists on them and for them. Dancers also work on composition and creation of their own work, one of which is showcased during the CCDT season. Auditioning dancers will be considered for: SunDance Summer Intensive July 6-24, 2026 (ages 8-19)* CCDT Accelerated Training Program, 2026-2027 season (ages 10-14)** CCDT Company & Apprenticeship, 2026-2027 season (ages 14-18)** *Dancers ages 8-9 do not need to audition for SunDance, and may proceed to register for SunDance Program C. **Participation in the SunDance Summer Intensive (July 6-24) is mandatory for dancers accepted to CCDT’s Company and Training Programs.Updated: Jan. 18, 2026
