Audition Description
Seeking: 2 male and/or non-binary contemporary dancers (London-based).
About the work
You & Us is a 60-minute work for five dancers, forming part of a touring triptych alongside an exhibition and short film. The piece explores invisibility - how it shapes connection, holds power and pain, and what it means to be seen, heard, and understood.
Who we’re looking for
Dancers with strong musicality, rhythm, and contemporary technique
Comfortable with highly physical, devised work, improvisation, and partnering
A genuine sense of empathy, kindness, and generosity in the studio
Backgrounds in hip hop/breaking/capoeira welcome (not required)
Experience performing/touring professional works
Must be available for all rehearsals & tour dates
Must live or be based in and around London for this contract, due to a restricted travel and accommodation budget for the rehearsal period.
Please note: There is no expectation for dancers to share personal experiences of invisibility for this process, but you of course are welcome too.
