Video Requirements:

Video Audition: Primary Division Male and Female applicants ages 10 – 11 by September. • Please film barre work from a side (slightly front) angle. Position the camera as close as possible but ensure that your entire body is fully visible from head to toe for both barre and center work. Work in the center should be filmed from the front and center of the studio. The video should be filmed in a landscape/horizontal orientation. • Female applicants should wear leotard and tights without skirts; male applicants in T-shirt and tights. • Please do not include any variations or performance footage in the video audition. WATCH DEMONSTRATION VIDEO for barre and center requirements. Your audition video must demonstrate the exercises as shown. Video Audition: Pre-Professional Male and Female applicants ages 12 – 19 by September 1. • The video should demonstrate your current technical level and must have been created within the previous three months. • Please film barre work from a side (slightly front) angle. Position the camera as close as possible but ensure that your entire body is fully visible from head to toe for both barre and center work. Work in the center should be filmed from the front and center of the studio. The video should be filmed in a landscape/horizontal orientation. • Female applicants should wear leotard and tights without skirts; male applicants in T-shirt and tights. • Pointe work is required for female students 12 years old and up who have previously begun pointe work. Our Two-Year Male Ballet Scholarship offers aspiring male dancers ages 14-19 the extraordinary opportunity to receive two years of year-round, uninterrupted ballet training with renowned instructors and mentors. What’s Included in our Male Ballet Scholarship: Academic tuition, including registration fees 5-Week Summer Ballet Program Two-week August Course Monthly housing stipend Access to a personalized conditioning program As a Two-Year Male Ballet Scholarship student, you will be a part of the CPYB’s Men’s and Pre-Professional Divisions. You will take men’s partnering and technique classes and receive mentorship from CPYB’s world-renowned faculty with training focused on you. Apply Our two-year scholarships are available to students who will be new to CPYB’s Academic Year Program, existing students are not eligible to apply. There are a limited number of competitive scholarships available. *At this time, CPYB cannot accept international students for our year-round programs as we do not currently have the ability to issue student visas.
