You are NOT required to upload a headshot, dancing photos, cover letter, dance resume, or recommendation letter to be considered. Please read our audition requirement below:
IF YOU ARE AUDITIONING BY VIDEO:
A URL link to your audition video is required. The video must be uploaded to a digital platform such as YouTube, Vimeo, or shared as a link from a cloud such as Google Drive or Dropbox with an "all access" view option. Video must be filmed frontally, with adequate lighting, and as a solo. Group performances are not accepted.
VIDEO OPTIONS
You can chose to learn one of these two Complexions audition phrases:
Combination 1
Combination 2
OR
Prepare a 1 - 2 minute solo video in the Ballet, Contemporary Ballet or Contemporary genre of your choice. The choreography must include: tendu a la seconde, passé, développé, attitude, any promenade, piqué arabesque, any style pirouettes en dehors and en dedans, soutenu, a sauté, any port de bras, use of the upper body, controlled relevé, and clear transitions between steps.
OR
Submit a competition video if it has most of the components above described .
POINTE: If you want to be considered for the Pointe classes please add a point variation in your video. It can be one of the Complexions Combinations performed on Pointe, or any other combination of your choice following the requirements.
Pointe is NOT required for our Summer Intensives
Pointe IS required for our Pre-professional Program.
IF YOU ARE AUDITIONING IN-PERSON:
Please arrive 30 minutes before the start of your class for registration purposes.
Please use adequate class attire such as leotard or form fitted t-shirt, tights or black dancer shorts, ballet slippers (no socks allowed). Overall tidy aspect, hair secured away from face, no oversized jewelry.
RESULTS
Results will be sent to the email on your registration form. Please make sure you type the email correctly.
Allow up to 15 days after your application is submitted to receive your results. If you haven't heard from us, check your spam folder before emailing us.
AUDITION ACCEPTANCE or SCHOLARSHIP CERTIFICATE
If you have an Acceptance Certificate, Scholarship Certificate or Credit Certificate, we encourage you to submit a video for placement purposes if you want to. Either way, you must complete the registration form. Email [email protected] to receive your audition fee waiver code.

If accepted, you will automatically be pre-registered and will receive an invoice. Please complete payment by invoice due date to save your spot.

Audition Description
COMPLEXIONS CONTEMPORARY BALLET WILL BE USING DANCEAPPLY FOR ALL 2025 AUDITIONS.
HERE IS HOW IT WORKS:
1. CREATE AN ACCOUNT IN DANCEAPPLY.COM
2. CLICK "BROWSE AUDITIONS" IN THE MENU AND TYPE "COMPLEXIONS". YOU WILL SEE OUR PROGRAM SELECTION.
3. CLICK "REGISTER", FILL OUT YOUR INFORMATION AND SELECT YOUR AUDITION PREFERENCE. COMPLETE PAYMENT.
4. IF YOU SELECTED TO ATTEND AN IN-PERSON AUDITION, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL INFORMATION AND ARRIVE 30 MINUTES BEFORE THE START OF YOUR CLASS.
IF YOU SELECTED A VIDEO AUDITION, PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR AUDITION VIDEO MEETS ALL THE REQUIREMENTS DESCRIBED BELOW.
