ESB Trainee Program is a unique course for 17 to 19 years old dancers in need of a stepping-stone to launch their future professional careers. Trainees work from Mondays to Fridays on a full schedule from 10:00am to 5:45pm and on Saturdays from 10:00am to 11:45am or until 3:00pm if needed. ESB Trainee Program, led by Associate Artistic Director Olivier Wecxsteen, offers a variety of classes starting with technique, brio/pointe work and pas-de-deux classes and workshops on Dawson style, Forsythe technologies and on choreographers such as Bournonville, Balanchine, Neumeier, Duato, Béjart, Montero, Elo or Pite. It includes a preparation for international auditions with the experience of in-house demonstrations and performances in the Netherlands and abroad. ESB Trainee Program dancers have, over the last few years, joined companies such as The Royal Ballet, Mariinsky Ballet, Finnish Ballet, Zürich Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, Scottish Ballet, Mikhailovsky Ballet, Royal Swedish Ballet, Stanislavsky Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Bavarian Ballet, Ballet du Capitole, Béjart Ballet Lausanne or the Dutch National Ballet.
