Thank you for your interest in joining Grand Rapids Ballet, Michigan’s only professional classical ballet company. COMPANY & APPRENTICE POSITIONS AVAILABLE: – Male and female company and apprentice positions are available – Company dancers receive a 31-week contract and full health insurance benefits – Perform 5 programs per season including full-lengths, mixed reps, and touring Recent repertoire includes works by Jennifer Archibald, George Balanchine, Andy Blankenbuehler, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Lar Lubovitch, Dani Rowe, Penny Saunders, Katarzyna Skarpetowska, James Sofranko, Ben Stevenson, and Christopher Stowell. TRAINEE POSITIONS AVAILABLE: – Take the next step towards a professional career – Train with Artistic Director James Sofranko and Grand Rapids Ballet staff – Take class and perform with the company regularly – Perform works created specifically for the trainee program – Completely tuition-free In-person auditions are preferred, but we are also accepting video auditions for anyone unable to audition in person.
