Hollywood Ballet Academy is a world-class training led by Acclaim International Principal Dancers and ballet instructors Adiarys Almeida & Taras Domitro, aimed at preparing dancers for a professional career in classical ballet with a strong foundation. Students are selected for their potential and mental readiness to begin a rigorous training program. Our Cuban Method-based curriculum allows our students to achieve significant technical skill milestones while understanding the individual artistic potential and developing greater self-awareness. Our training includes classes such as ballet technique, pointe work, variations and Pas de Deux from the traditional classical repertoire, contemporary works, progressing ballet technique, floor barre, stretching, and conditioning, leading to the development of exceptionally versatile dancers and prepared to enter the world's leading companies. ​ Our Ballet Programs adhere to the Cuban Method of Ballet instruction. The Cuban Method has its origins in the Russian Vaganova Method, which emphasizes dancing with the entire body. This results in harmonious movement between arms, legs, and torso. As with other ballet methods, in the Cuban Method, the torso is the foundation of all movement, so the dancer's torso is trained to be strong and well-aligned. Movements are then achieved through control of the very core, producing very clean and precise action but not rigid. However, the Cuban Method diverges from other methods. It has a romantic feel that combines high Russian extensions and jumps with intricate Italian footwork, French arm artistry, and British attention to detail. Ballet is a classical dance that demands grace and precision and employs formalized steps and gestures set in intricate, flowing patterns to create expression through movement. It is a theatrical entertainment in which ballet dancing and music, often with scenery and costumes, combine to tell a story, establish an emotional atmosphere. Ballet teaching is practical. It involved the technical analysis of the different levels accordingly to the study program. It goes from simple to more complex, it is a group teaching, but it is also individual because each dancer has different characteristics.
