Video Requirements:

Barre work including tendus, fondus, développés, and grand battements. Center work including adagio, turns, petite allegro, and grand allegro. Girls who are already on pointe should do center work en pointe. Videos should be no longer than 7-10 minutes. Upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo and email a link to [email protected]. Students without access to a studio can submit a video taken from home. Classwork should be adjusted as needed.

Audition Description

IBA offers a seven-week summer intensive program designed for students age 9 and up who dance at an intermediate level and up. The program focuses on intensive classical training and is designed to challenge and encourage the student. Classes in ballet technique, pointe, partnering, variations, jazz, modern, stretch and conditioning are combined with seminars focusing on proper nutrition and injury prevention. The goal is to provide opportunities for a dancer to grow both technically and artistically. Upon acceptance, students may select to attend anywhere from 1 week up to 7 weeks of the program.
