Description

The New York City Ballet Intensive captures the foundation that built the Joffrey Ballet School, developing young classical dancers into expressive, diverse professional artists. Artistic Directors Era Jouravlev & Jo Matos lead a program designed for students 8-25, seeking the complete ballet education. Morning classes build and refine the strongest foundation in ballet technique, pointe, variations, and partnering. Afternoons expand the repertoire, broadening into styles including modern, classical and contemporary ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, world dance, and more. The intensive culminates in a three-week rehearsal process that guides students from studio to stage, performing classical and contemporary works at a renowned New York City theater. Work directly with our year-round Joffrey Ballet School faculty, master guest instructors, and working choreographers whose extensive experience will elevate a dancer’s training to the next level!
