KAIROS Dance Theater’s Trainee Program provides pre-professional and professional dancers the opportunity to hone their craft as performance artists by working intimately with KAIROS Dance Theater. The Trainee Program is a 12-week educational experience (7 hours per week) that culminates in a site-specific performance with KAIROS Dance Theater at SPOKE's World AIDS Day Vigil at the Boston Center for the Arts' Cyclorama on December 1—one of Boston’s most significant annual public art events.

Trainees take company class, rehearse, perform, and create alongside KAIROS Dance Theater’s main company members; and engage directly with KAIROS directors, dancers and choreographers throughout the program. In addition to training in KAIROS's aesthetic, technique and improvisational modalities, trainees learn to craft and compose inside an inclusive, collaborative process and community.
