Les Grands Ballets Canadiens to hold auditions for The Nutcracker on September 8, 2024, in Ottawa Since 1964, thousands of children have realized their dream of being part of the cast of The Nutcracker, this wonderful Christmas tale performed by Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. This year, once again, a hundred children will have the chance to live this experience alongside the company's 45 dancers. Children are needed for the roles of Angels, Rats, Reindeer, Mice, Matryoshkas, and for the Coffee Dance. Selected children will participate in the performances of The Nutcracker at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa from December 5 to 8, 2024. REQUIREMENTS Candidates must have completed at least one year of dance training. As costumes are already made, measurements are the primary selection criterion. Children who do not meet these size requirements will not be admitted to audition. The minimum age required is 7 years old. INFORMATION No pre-registration.
