Session Description

As one of the most highly respected dance schools in the midwest, SMB’s Trainee Division offers remarkable value for its pre-professional students. Each week, trainees are instructed in a customized schedule of Technique, Pointe, Variations, and other complementary classes. Students can then supplement their formal training for free with other Madison Ballet classes as available. Personal mentorship from the School Director, as well as professional accompaniment, further enrich the educational experience. Trainee Division students are required to attend all scheduled classes for their level. Failure to fulfill the requirements of the Trainee program may result in dismissal. Finally, those in the Trainee Division are offered the unique opportunity to develop valuable relationships with Madison Ballet’s professional company by attending performances and, in exceptional circumstances, supporting the company onstage.
