Description
The Manhattan Youth Ballet Summer Intensive is held every year during the month of August. This year the intensive will be 3 weeks. Leading up to the start of the Year-Round program. Our focus is to provide a program that allows those accepted to stay in dancing shape, continue to improve what they have learned at other June/July Intensives as well as getting the opportunity to work with some of the NYC dance community's brightest stars all within a nurturing, energetic environment. Students have the option of participating in 1, 2, or all 3 weeks of the program. In order to participate in the performance, student must participate in all 3 weeks. Those who are attending only 1 or 2 weeks are invited to learn the choreography as an understudy to gain rehearsal process experience. If you were to understudy, you may be asked to sit and obverse during run throughs. The intensive culminates in a performance in MYB's Home Theater on Thursday, September 1st.
