About the program Miami City Ballet School strives to provide the highest quality dance education by fostering artistic and technical excellence in a nurturing environment that fosters a positive learning experience. The Student Division consists of seven levels. Classes in this division are graded by physical strength and development. Following the school syllabus for each level, students are introduced to progressive levels of ballet technique. Ballet classes are taught with live piano accompaniment. Advancement from level to level is based on annual evaluations of the individual student’s technical ability, physical aptitude, strength, classroom effort and attendance. Entrance to the Student Division is by audition only.
