Photos/Images
Close up photo of the applicant’s face (examples: headshot, a school photo or a passport photo)
Full body shot in first arabesque – if been en pointe for more than 1 year, please do photo en pointe
Video
A single video file no more than 15 minutes in length containing the elements below. Videos not complying with all the elements may not be considered. Only one side needs to be shown for each combination at the barre. All center exercises should be done on both sides. The frame of the video should show the full body throughout and not include any dancers other than the applicant. The video must be taken recently and not more than 3 months prior to submission. Videos of performances or solo variations will not be considered.
Ladies age 14 and up should complete all combinations en pointe.
Ladies ages 12-13 should wear soft technique shoes for all combinations except for the pointe work combinations if applicable. The pointe work should be added at the end of the video after grand allegro.
Applicants should wear simple leotards and pink or flesh tights for female dancers. Or fitted t-shirt with no logos or writing and black or gray tights for male dancers
Barre Work (One side only)
Plie, Tendu, Degage, Rond de jambe, Developpe with fondu, Grand Battement
Center Work (Both sides. Please wear pointe shoes if appropriate)
Adagio, Tendu combination, Pirouette combination with both en dehors and en dedans pirouettes, Petit Allegro*, Grand Allegro*
*In allegro combinations, try and include all jumps: 2-2, 2-1, 1-2, 1-1, and 1 to other
Additional Work
Dancers en pointe should also include diagonal of turning steps. Pointe work should also include echappe, retire, and turns en pointe en dehors and en dedans if not included in above combinations
Male dancers should include cabriole, entrechats six, and double tours right and left
