New York Dance Project transforms passionate dance students into versatile, individualistic artists able to collaborate and evolve fluidly in a fast-changing society. The NYDP Trainee Program is a certificate program that prepares the dancer for a professional career. We train dancers in classical ballet, contemporary, modern, dance history and all with the artistry required for an active career in a professional company. New York Dance Project gives the dancer individual attention in its small classes and remains focused on the future of the dancer. Being an independent organization with contacts throughout the dance world helps us to give honest advice for the individual, not only preparing dancers for the “Main Company” a school serves, as many other organizations must. We provide the dancer with individual training and advice for their own future.
