THIS LEVEL 7 DIPLOMA OFFERS STUDENTS A RANGE OF DIVERSE EXPERIENCES BOTH WITHIN THE SCHOOL AND EXTERNALLY This diploma is the equivalent of an undergraduate degree. Students must have completed the Level 6 New Zealand Diploma in Dance before enrolling in the Level 7 Diploma in Dance Performance, one additional year of study. The New Zealand School of Dance Diploma in Dance Performance (Level 7) focusses on providing performance opportunities and industry experience. The third-year offers students a range of diverse experiences both within the School and externally. Secondments and professional placements are an important part of the final year of training. Students have the opportunity to work with dance companies for up to twelve weeks of term time. Contemporary dance students choreograph their own works for the Choreographic Season produced every winter. Students have the opportunity to perform in the School’s annual Graduation Season.

Description:

Full-time students are accommodated through homestay accommodation and student apartment accommodation at Massy University’s Cube Hall.Students who are younger than 17 at the start of their 1st Yr are accommodated by Host Families NZ (homestay) and older 1st Yr as well as 2nd and 3rd Yr students have accommodation at Cube Hall.
