Video Auditions are accepted when a Dancer is unable to attend in Open Class Audition. Audition materials must be in the form of USB or online link. Please include the following: BARRE - Plies, Battement Tendu & Battement Glisse, Adage, Grand Battement CENTRE - Battement Tendu & Pirouette, Short Adage, Petit Allegro, Grand Allegro + Short Contemporary Sequence (Maximum 3 minutes) OR 1 Classical Solo / Variation (Clear, Enpointe, & recent t) & 1 Contemporary Solo (clear & recent)Audition Description
Auditions for Newcastle Ballet Theatre’s Pre-Professional Programs are open! At NBT, we feel strongly that dancers learn and improve in environments where they are comfortable and supported, yet challenged. Our focus is on understanding each dancer’s goals, then helping them reach their particular and individual potential. Our Programs are ballet based, with a strong Contemporary component, so those genres are the focus of our audition process.Updated: Sept. 4, 2024
