Description
School of Philadelphia Ballet / New Jersey will complement two other existing satellite programs including School of Philadelphia Ballet / Bala Cynwyd (27 Conshohocken State Road) and School of Philadelphia Ballet / Lansdowne (Lansdowne YMCA). Increasing the footprint of the School of Philadelphia Ballet represents a larger initiative to make world-class dance education more accessible and convenient to families all across the Delaware Valley.

Session Description
The goal of the Children’s Program is to introduce the students to dance and ballet through movement, music, games, props, and fun. Dancers learn in an organized group setting while exploring the use of their imagination. Each lesson is a positive experience aimed to instill a sense of self-confidence and self-worth. Students will progress through essential components throughout the year including gross motor skills, spatial awareness, musicality, and body awareness.

Session Description
The Student Program follows our Children’s program and precedes our Professional Program. Within the Student Program, dancers will experience a stronger class structure, training with a focus on discipline, etiquette, and ballet vocabulary. Finer motor skills are developed as is proper alignment and turn-out. Students are educated as to how and why a technique is taught in their level while musicality and artistry are continually refined.
