Description

For more than 30 years, Point Park University’s International Summer Dance program has welcomed talented dancers, teachers and musicians from across the country and around the globe. Join us in this rigorous program with celebrations of myriad cultures united through the love of dance! Our comprehensive dance program specializes in three styles - Ballet, Jazz and Modern. The curriculum includes daily technique classes in ballet, jazz and modern, supplemented by Pointe and variations, male technique, pas de deux, tap, music for dancers, Pilates and yoga.

Session Description

Students who register for our 6-week session are eligible to participate in our Showcase. The option to live on campus during the International Summer Dance program is available to students at least 14 years old. Students wishing to live on campus who are attending the three-week program must attend during the first three weeks. We will do our best to fulfill rommate requests, but requests are NOT guaranteed. Students will have the opportunity to enter requests during the registration process. Each residence hall has multiple points of secure access to student living areas, such as keycards, access codes, and lock and key. Laundry is available for free to residential students. Resident Assitants (RAs) live on campus to supervise students who are minors. Each RA is responsible for eight to twelve minors.
