The Portland Ballet Summer Intensive (PBSI) is for committed students ages 11+ who want to continue their ballet training over the summer. Students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in their training through daily ballet technique and pointe/batterie classes, and will be able to expand their artistic expression and enrich their ballet education through classes such as modern, classical variations, repertoire, character, Pilates mat, and body conditioning. Faculty will include Pre-Professional Division Director Sabir Yapparov, and Portland Ballet Artistic Director Nell Shipman, as well as Portland School of Ballet resident instructors.
