Video Requirements:
The solo dance festival is open to every style of dance and the choice of the theme and the music is free. - There is no age limit. - Criteria to participate: clever and creative use of space and time, the production of an idea through the dance of a single performer. - Duration: the choreography will have a duration of minimum 5 and maximum of 10 minutes. - The choreography can be a work previously shown on stage. - Each choreographer can participate with one or more choreographies. - The choreographer can also be the solo performer. - Artists who applied or participated in a past edition of Solocoreografico can apply again. - Selected works will be presented during one or more festival editions throughout the year. - A basic light setup will be available. We will, however, try to match your special requests as far as possible. - Selected artists have free access to the dance workshops during the Festival.Audition Description
SOLOCOREOGRAFICO is the dance festival dedicated to the choreographic composition for solo dance. Apply with your solo choreography! SOLOCOREOGRAFICO has three different editions in three different cities: TORINO (Italy), FRANKFURT (Germany) and LYON (France) In order to better organize the applications, there will be only one call for all three editions and other opportunities that may occur. The deadline for this call will be the 15th of May 2026. Festival editions and locations >> FRANKFURT edition - GERMANY 23rd to 25th of October 2026 with the support of Kulturamt Frankfurt am Main in collaboration with Gallus Theater, Frankfurt Freigetanzt e.V., Frankfurt Associazione Culturale Supernova, Torino >> TORINO edition - ITALY 20th to 22nd November 2026 Teatro Caffè Müller - Torino in collaboration with Associazione Coorpi Associazione Culturale Supernova Associazione blucinQue >> LYON edition - FRANCE TBA 2026 Théâtre-studio aux Échappées Belles in collaboration with Associazione Culturale Supernova, Torino Hallet-Eghayan / Artistes Associés, Lyon Freigetanzt e.V., Frankfurt CONDITIONS - The solo dance festival is open to every style of dance and the choice of the theme and the music is free. - There is no age limit. - Criteria to participate: clever and creative use of space and time, the production of an idea through the dance of a single performer. - Duration: the choreography will have a duration of minimum 5 and maximum of 10 minutes. - The choreography can be a work previously shown on stage. - Each choreographer can participate with one or more choreographies. - The choreographer can also be the solo performer. - Artists who applied or participated in a past edition of Solocoreografico can apply again. - Selected works will be presented during one or more festival editions throughout the year. - A basic light setup will be available. We will, however, try to match your special requests as far as possible. - Selected artists have free access to the dance workshops during the Festival. - Selected artists may be asked to give a dance workshop, or to participate in the Jury for the Youth Program of the festival. - Hotel accommodation, travel costs, per diem and a cachet for the performance, will be offered according to the resources of each Festival location.
