Company Auditions - Every year Terpsicorps hires anywhere from 6 to 12 dancers to perform with the company during the months of June and July. There is currently no formal in person audition. Instead we ask that those who have had a minimum of one year working at a company member level with a professional company, and are interested in participating for the summer, go to the link above to send us a video link of performance clips, photos and a current resume. Ideally, the video would contain live performance excerpts that include contemporary ballet, contemporary partnering, a short sample of something classical, and examples of choreography that show dramatic and comedic theatrical ability. There is no need for class work. Applicants who make it through this part of the process may be sent links to repertoire excerpts to learn and film for us. We realize that this can be difficult for people, but it greatly increases our ability to assess how you look in our work. We are happy to help facilitate this and work with you in any way we can. Apprenticeship Auditions - We are also accepting apprentice level dancers for the 2025 season. This follows the same audition process. Although it is an unpaid position, housing is provided and it is a great opportunity for networking with people from a wide array of companies and for gaining stage time for inclusion in your reel and resume. Many former apprentices have found permanent employment through connections made at Terpsicorps. The 2025 Summer Season dates are June 23-July 26. All company and apprentice dancers must be available for all dates. All finalists will be asked to learn short excerpts of Terpsicorps repertoire to film and return by March 15. Our intent is to make decisions by March 20th at the very latest.
